Perhaps you listened to the marketing gurus and put together a lead magnet. Good for you for taking action! I applaud you!
But perhaps the results are less than stellar.
It happens. Don’t let this deter you from using lead magnets.
Let me share a fishing analogy to help you understand.
When you go fishing, do you use only one kind of bait for any type of fish?
Let’s say you want to catch some trout. (Who doesn’t love tasty trout?)
Here’s a few of the different types of bait that work best for trout:
- Leeches
- Crayfish
- Worm
- Spinnerbait
- Minnow
- Mealworm
- Salmon
That’s crazy! So many choices of bait to entice a single trout!
Guess what?
It’s the same with your ideal audience. You might have to try multiple lead magnets to find the one that works the best!
You might have to create multiple angles to entice your ideal audience to jump on your lead magnet.
If you create only one lead magnet and expect a mass of people to opt in for it, you might be disappointed. It really does take some time to fine tune and identify the best bait!
